Ronald Alvin Cieslewicz

Ronald Alvin Cieslewicz 89, of South Toledo, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021. Ron was born January 4, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio to Alvin and Loretta (Kaucharczyk) Cieslewicz. He attended Central Catholic, Scott, and Macomber High Schools. Ron worked at Champion Spark Plug for 38 years, culminating his career as a supervisor in the engine lab department, retiring in 1988.

Ron loved spending time with his wife (Irene) of 49 years, his family, his friends at the Commodore Club of Toledo on Lagrange St. and visiting with neighbors. He was also a member of the Weak Signals RC Club, where he spent time flying and showing off his beautiful airplanes. Golfing was a passion of his. Ron & Irene spent many years travelling through the US on their Goldwing Motorcycle. He was also a superior mechanic.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Irene, sons Daniel Cieslewicz, Robert Howard, one grandson, 1 great grandson, his parents and one brother, Eugene Cieslewicz.
Ron is survived by son Joseph (Annette) Cieslewicz, Kenneth (Patricia) Howard, Cathleen (Brian) Craig, Mary Jo Boxhorn, Belinda (Joe) Ward, Joan (Blaque) Bauman, Franklin Howard, 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one brother Tom (Judy) Cieslewicz. A very special thank you to Jess, one of Dad’s caretakers at Kingston.

Due to COVID, Graveside Service will be at Highland Memorial Gardens 8308 S. River Rd. Waterville, Ohio 43566 on Monday, March 8, starting promptly at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
